HTX Care Coalition

There are many organizations that work to serve often overlooked communities: the homeless, those in recovery, disenfranchised, those in the criminal justice system, single mothers without support, unemployed, and many other categories of affected people that may just need some support from a friend. HTX Care Coalition is a group of those friends that serve in a similar circle of care, that realizes we are stronger together. We want to help, in any way we can. By showing coordinated care and kindness to these individuals, we make our overall Houston community stronger – even if it’s one person at a time.

As this November is Gratitude month, and the beginning of a season of holidays and celebration, we believe that this is the perfect opportunity to broaden our care coalition by inviting the community into our circle. Everyone knows #GivingTuesday as a day of donating to the charity of yoru choice. What if this year for #GivingTuesday, we support the community and give in other ways? #HTXCareCoalition is formed by partnering organizations with the goal on this season to provide the houston community the opportunity to give in their own way this season: donating your time, giving supplies, offering encouragement, or traditionalo monetary donations.

Gratitude goes both ways, and HTXCareCoalition also wants to show you, the Houston community that supports our work, our sincere gratitude by celebrating you with virtual entertainment, food at the service locations, and other giveaways. Let us meet you where you are, to help meet the underserved where they are. And allow us to say “Thank You”.

Each organization will host a specific project

Just like a friend inviting you over for a party, we’re inviting you to our houses for #GivingTuesday. First, celebrate National Gratitude Month with us virtually as we stream LIVE on FB throughout the morning and early afternoon starting at 9am.
